Heating requirements in chemical tanks
Tank heating systems are used to control fluid viscosity, maintain reaction temperature and reduce freezing or solidification risk in chemical processes. Immersion heaters provide high heat transfer efficiency because they operate directly in the liquid.
Sheath material and corrosion
The sheath material must be selected according to the chemical nature of the fluid. Stainless steel is common in general applications, while corrosive fluids may require Incoloy, titanium or special alloys.
Surface load and level control
Excessive surface load may cause local overheating, burning, scaling or chemical degradation. Level control, high-limit thermostat and suitable panel protections are recommended to prevent dry operation.
Required quotation data
Fluid type, tank volume, target temperature, initial temperature, heating time, connection type, material preference and service conditions should be shared.
